Manipulation

Let's look what's wrong with this picture: a chart shows that married women work more than married men in total despite having fewer paid working hours. What can I assume by looking at this picture? In my humble opinion, this is another example of manipulation.

First, it counts as "working hours" even the time wives spend on their duties at home. If we accept this as work rather than duty, then we should count it as "paid working hours" because husbands mostly compensate them for it in various ways: money, presents, or other material rewards. So, we have two options here: either we count their home duties as paid hours or we do not take them into account at all.

This is just one side of the situation. The other side is this: based on the narrative given by the authors of the chart, can we accept the spending of husbands on their wives and children as an outcome, like in usual businesses? Of course not — these are their duties as fathers and husbands. That is how the institution of the family works: each part has its job that must be done in order to raise children who are healthy and have strong moral values.

I think the family institution and humanity overall in the West are degrading partly because of this kind of manipulation. As a result, people do not understand the meaning of marriage and healthy relationships, and they end up living almost like animals — no one has duties, and everyone can do everything. This means that even if a married woman or man cheats on their partner, it is not prohibited or is not even considered immoral.

So my advice to those who see this kind of information is simple: ignore it. Do not be like everyone else. Think different.
